The jouney went well ... the cruise ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao was pretty boring but we got the chance to see The Da Vinci Code (OK) and the new Pirates of the Carribean movie (average). We had a good drive down through Spain although the weather was pretty poor in fact it was thick fog when we arrived at Bilbao and raining as we got to the house in Cañada del Trigo!!!

The casa at Umbria de la Zarza (the one we are restoring - page down for photos...) is fantastic, the frontage has all been completed - it looks brilliant, photo´s will have to follow as I don´t have access to add them here at the internet cafe!! We met Antonio the builder today and went through all the oustanding jobs and have just got back from shopping to pick floor tiles - it´s all getting very exciting. Work should start again in earnest next week so fingers crossed for quick results.

Everything else is brilliant here - the casa we´re living in is great the weather has been mixed but we´ve managed to sit outside and eat (and drink of course)...
